Boarding Rules & Policies
In order for any community to function effectively and exist in harmony, all members of the community need to be aware of and to abide by the rules governing that community.
The rules of the hostels of St Michael’s School for Girls aim:
To provide a safe, orderly and caring environment;
To promote the development of self-discipline;
To give individuals the opportunity to achieve academically and participate in extra-mural activities;
To foster a culture of respect for and acceptance of others.
The onus is on each hostel girl to familiarise herself with these rules and to ensure that she abides by them. The rules are regularly revised to ensure that they remain fair and relevant.
A system of punishments for the infringement of rules will be utilized to maintain the aims of the rules of the hostel.
