Brownies

4th SMS Brownie Pack

Lord Baden-Powell was the founder of the world scouting movement. He thought that “Brownies” would be a fitting name for young girls who could learn to help their families and communities. Being a Brownie is about helping girls develop self-esteem, leadership skills, coping with life skills, confidence and the ability to take care of themselves.

At St Michael’s we all gather together once a week and introduce girls to a world of new opportunities, challenges and fun.

We strive to work towards earning eight Brownie Adventure badges. The themes include Busy Brownie, Brownie Steps, Stardom, Out and About, Careful Hands, Girl Power, Creative Magic and the Green Kingdom.

Joining this Brownie Pack and Girl Guides Association means that our girls become part of a worldwide organisation called WAGGGS.
