Library

The St. Michael’s School library is over a 100 years old. It is a very well- equipped and functioning library. We have a vast variety of books, which also includes resource materials.

During school hours, Grades 1 to 6 have library periods and our senior learners make use of the library during break and after school. Many learners also prefer to do their homework here. It is always a pleasure to have them work in the library.

We have 20 diligent library monitors who, amongst other duties, ensure that the books are neatly arranged on the shelves.

Photocopy facilities are also available and Mrs Veldschoen is always willing to assist in that regard. The archive and boardroom also form part of the school library.

We have a very friendly and welcoming atmosphere in the library.

Mrs. Veldschoen (Librarian) is there to oversee everything and to ensure that all new books are recorded on the system. She competently handles all book-related queries and maintains the high standard expected of a school library.
